Connect America Application LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates the Connect America App field service management platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information:

Business name, email address, phone number
Billing information — processed and stored by Stripe; we never store card numbers
Account credentials — passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text

Business Data You Enter:

Client names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses
Job records, schedules, notes, and photos
Employee names, contact information, and work records
Invoices, estimates, and financial records
Expenses and job costs

Usage Data:

App usage logs (features used, login times, errors)
Device type and operating system (for app compatibility)
IP address (for security and fraud prevention)
GPS coordinates when employees use location check-in features (with permission)

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide, operate, and improve the Service
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Send service-related SMS and email notifications
Provide customer support
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with trusted providers only as necessary to deliver the Service. We do not sell your data or your clients' data to any third party.

4. Data Ownership & Portability

You own all Customer Data — client records, jobs, invoices, employees, and everything else you enter. You may export your data at any time using the Export feature in the app. Upon account termination, you have 30 days to request a data export before permanent deletion.

5. How We Access Your Data

Connect America Application LLC employees do not access your account data except: (a) when required to resolve a technical support issue, and only with your knowledge and consent; or (b) when required by law or valid legal process. We do not browse, mine, or use your customer data for any purpose beyond delivering the Service to you.

6. Data Security

Encryption in transit — TLS/HTTPS on all connections
Encryption at rest — via Supabase infrastructure
Row-Level Security on all database tables — each company sees only its own data
Access controls limiting who can view sensitive data

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your account, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware.

7. SMS Communications

When you use SMS features, messages are sent on your behalf to your clients and employees via Twilio. You are responsible for ensuring your recipients have consented to receive messages before sending through our platform. We send service-related transactional SMS and emails to account owners as needed to operate the Service.

Recipients may reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.

8. Data Retention

Active accounts: data retained for the duration of your subscription
Cancelled accounts: data retained 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted
Legal hold: data may be retained longer if required by applicable law

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice before material changes take effect. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
